Computer Engineering

Overview

The department of Computer Engineering is committed to the cause of growth and advancement of computer related technologies. The department was started with the aim of acquainting students with the latest trends in Computer Engineering. The Department has faculty members with both industrial and academic experience. Knowledge is imparted in Computer Architecture and Design, maintenance and networking. Students are also taught a spectrum of programming languages, spanning assembly language programming, C, Java, C++, .Net and operating systems like UNIX and Windows. The undergraduate program in Computer Engineering is essentially aimed at equipping a student with excellent programming and system related competencies.

Students at the department are always encouraged and supported to participate in various technical and extracurricular activities at regional, National and International level. We have an enthusiastic team of staff and students for co-ordination and execution of the activities throughout the year under Computer Society of India (professional Body). Every year team of young engineers from department exhibit their advanced and technical skills in Smart India hackathon and many such national or international competitions.

Our Vision

To motivate & empower of the students of Computer Engineering to be creative, innovative, technologically upgraded and its contribution towards high quality technical education as responsible members of society.

Our Mission

The Department of Computer Engineering is committed to prepare students for professional career and higher studies by providing conductive teaching learning, entrepreneurship with leadership skills enabling them to serve the society through engineering profession.

Objective & Outcome

Objectives: An ability to design a system, component, or process to meet desired needs within realistic constraints such as economic, environmental, social, political, ethical, health and safety, manufacturability, and sustainability. The objective is to prepare students for careers as software professionals and for advanced studies in Computer Science. We develop and work with a range of technologies to build systems and applications that help solve today’s problems, and share skills and knowledge with the community. We are committed to providing the opportunity to master the computer science discipline to students from all backgrounds. Our program combines strong fundamentals, project- and team- oriented activities, as well as soft skills, leading to a well-rounded professional education.
